The Buchanan Log House Folk Festival is Friday, September 20th, 10:00 am - 3:00 p.m. and Saturday, September 20, 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Friday is open to school children only and Saturday is open to everyone.

The Festival features the 19th Alabama Civilian Corps Encampment, artisans demonstrating skills used in the early 19th century such as spinning, candle making, blacksmithing, soap making, basket weaving, chair caning and more. There will be a children's area featuring old timey games and train rides. A variety of music will be provided through out the day. The Buchanan Market Place will provide shopping opportunities and food & drinks from local vendors. Flu shots will be available from K Mart. Admission and parking are free.
