The Buchanan Log House is one of Nashville’s oldest log homes and a national landmark, preserving over 200 years of family, architectural, and archaeological heritage rooted in the Donelson community.
As a volunteer-run site, our mission is to make this history vibrant and accessible through free tours, public events, educational programs, and as a rental space.
We invite you and your guests to enjoy the beauty and history of this special place—and kindly ask that it be treated with the respect it deserves.

The house is open every 2nd and 4th Friday of the month from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (no reservation required).
